Since Diego has a very important debate in Kentucky, I will be doing all the work today. I will be trying to finish up the coding that Diego left me. Usually he does it but I'm sure i can figure it out, plus, this will help me brush up on my skills. According to the due dates, we are right on track to get everything done by the due dates.

Monday 4.23
Gunther and I did so much today that we didn't finish the blog in class. That being said, today's photos will only be of me. The purpose of a Monday blog is to lay out the plans for the week, but our week really started today in full force. We added the claw to our square-bot, completed the coding, added motor controllers, added the (very good looking) UF themed battery clips, and did the official run first try with less than 2 seconds to spare. All in all, it was a very productive day. This week we'll be looking to make the tetrahedron work autonomously and do our official runs on Friday. See you then.

Thursday 4/19
This week we put the tower on our robot and completed the mechanical construction of the arm. Admittedly we're having problems getting to motor to function. Gunther and I decided that we weren't going to follow instructions from the clawbot to put the claw on our squarebot. It's really hard, but we're doing our best to put the tower on. That being said, we'll catch you next week.

Tuesday 4.17
Since last week we finished the programming for the figure 8, we will start adding the claw part to our robot. The next challenge is to program the arm to the controller to pick up a tetrahedron and place it on rack for multiple points. The hard part of placing the arm is we need to find the right weight distribution on our robot because the long arm of the claw may tip it over.

Friday 4.23
We finished our SolidWorks and did our figure 8 this week! The SolidWorks blog is scheduled to go up tonight with the views. It was a very difficult week, but probably our most productive. In the coming week, we should be working on our tetrahedron. See you then.

Monday 4.9
Today we're going to be split for a long while. Gunther is going to continue on the SolidWorks while I begin the coding on the automatic figure-8. Both are things we haven't done before, so it'll be interesting to try and learn before Friday.

Thursday 4.5
This week we completed the programming on our robot. We drove our robot to Martin and he verified that we had the controls correct. This was a huge step in getting where we need to be. Also, Gunther started the SolidWorks drawing and is already done with the chassis and wheels. This was a very productive week.

Tuesday 4.3
Today we're going to be starting our SolidWorks assemblies. We had periodic absences, and have to make up driving our robot towards Mr. Martin. Although a crutch, we'll be moving to make up lost time and go forward with our production.
