FINAL POST 5.31

It is a bittersweet moment here in autoDAD robotics inc. Today is our last blog post. Both Diego and I are very sad bois but we are also proud of everything we have accomplished. I am sure our legacy will live on. autoDADs 4 lyfe. We did it to em.

Here are some memories that are burned into our souls.

5.29

Today was a gloomy and rainy day, but not for us! We finished the Solidworks drawing and the programming for the manual ball challenge. WE used 3 officials and on the last one we got it. We only have one day left to do the last project but I'm not worried... I'm confident.

5.23

Today Diego is working on programming the ball claw to pick up and release the ball. I doubt it will take him long since he is probably the best coder in the class. I however, will be working on the blog and adding or removing necessary pieces from the robot. Most importantly, we had to do it to em'

Thursday 5.17

Most sophomores and freshman are out today due to AP testing which sadly means Diego isn't here. He left me responsible for charging the batteries and doing the blog. I don't want to use up an official until the code is perfect. I DID IT!!! I got the tetrahedron on the stand but it wasnt an official:(

Monday 5.7

Today we are continuing to work on the autonomous challenge, we had to stop discuss plans a fellow group to get some info on how to do it. We got some helpful tips.

Tuesday 5.17

Today we are finishing up the coding for the autonomous tetrahedron challenge. I can feel it in my loins we will get it today. We took until the end of the class period to do our final official ... we didn't get it sadly, it was off by inches.

Wednesday 5.9

We finally figured out what was wrong with our robot, the gears in the arm were slipping. We got some help from seniors Jimmy and Sergio. We put rubber bands connecting the axles to bring them closer together.

Monday 5.7

Our neighbor group is 4 weeks behind schedule and requested to use the workbench today because they needed it. After sometime Diego and I decided (using our gracious professionalism) to let them use it. Other than our random act of kindness, today we will be working on the final touches to the coding for the autonomous programming challenge.

Thursday 5.3

Today Diego attempted numerous times to program our claw bot to pick up a tetrahedron and place  it on the rack(shown in picture below) but didn't quite get it, he got very close though. I however, finished building the updated version of our robot on Solidworks which looks super good.

Friday 4.27

Since Diego has a very important debate in Kentucky, I will be doing all the work today. I will be trying to finish up the coding that Diego left me. Usually he does it but I'm sure i can figure it out, plus, this will help me brush up on my skills. According to the due dates, we are right on track to get everything done by the due dates.
